Joy Salinas is a Filipina singer, specializing in dance music.
Biography
Passionate about music as a child, at 14 she started playing the guitar. In the eighties she moved to Italy and in 1987 Salinas won an audition for the G.B. Show, in which she participated in seven episodes.
In 1989 she recorded the first single, Paris Night, which is quite successful in France. Success arrived in the summer of 1991 with the single Rockin 'Romance, with which it participates in the Festivalbar. In the first two weeks from the publication in Italy it sold 13,000 copies, reaching the 3rd place in the standings. The song is included in the soundtrack of the film Abbronzatissimi.[1]
In the meantime, the debut album entitled Joy Salinas came out, which also contains the song The Mistery of Love, a song included in the soundtrack of the film Christmas Holidays '91.
The single Party Time was born in 1992 from the collaboration with DJ Herbie.
In 1993 comes the single Bip Bip that anticipates the second album of the same title, which is also extracted Hands off. The singles remain for months in the ranking of the best-selling and most danced discs, and reach respectively the 76th and 86th place of the best-selling singles of the year.[2]
In 1994 Salinas recorded the singles Gotta Be Good (made by Mario Fargetta) and Calling You Love, hit of the summer 1994, with the participation of the rapper Kevin Orlando Ettienne.
In 1995, he launched Let Me Say I Do.[3]
In 1997 Salinas opens with the album Dream in Paradise, which includes the single Give Me a Break, the soundtrack of the film Panarea.[4]
After some singles, Joy Salinas returned in 2013 with an album titled Starlight.
