Kate Eliana Valdez Sisante (born August 21, 2000), professionally known as Kate Valdez, is a Filipina actress and model. Valdez is currently working as an exclusive artist of GMA Network, and is known for her role as Violet in Destiny Rose, and as Mira in Encantadia.
Early life
Kate Valdez, whose real name was Kate Eliana Valdez Sisante, was born in the Philippines to Edmond and Teresita Sisante (neé Valdez). She has a sister named Karen Ashley.[1] Valdez is currently enrolled in a private school in Cavite.[1]
Career
Modelling
Valdez started modeling while still in elementary school and subsequently joined amateur beauty pageants. Valdez discovered her knack for acting when she started joining school plays.[1]
Acting
In 2015, Valdez signed a contract with GMA Artist Center. Valdez later appeared on Destiny Rose as Violet Vitto Jacobs.[2]
In 2016, Valdez became a part the 2016 requel-sequel of Encantadia as Mira.[3] The character is the daughter of Pirena, played by Glaiza de Castro, and was originally portrayed by Yasmien Kurdi in the original series.[2][4][5]
Valdez has also appeared in other programs on GMA Network and is a TV commercial model for various local labels.[1]
