Content dispute about Captain Muthukrishnan Iyyappan

Addition of Muthukrishnan Iyyappan as a notable member. Can the IP who is so insistent on adding this particular name, please explain how this person meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines to be included in the list under the notable people.

Even the sources provided are not adequate. [1] a WP:SPS, [2] which seems a reverse copy-right and questionable, [3] makes no mention and is random, [4] no mention and a WP:SPS, [5] no mention and questionable source. [6] is the only source which makes a mention but is unclear how this makes the person notable. Lastly, can the IP declare if they have a COI with this person or not. I strongly suspect, the IP is the person engaging in WP:PROMO. Adamgerber80 (talk) 00:24, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 20 July 2018

It is requested that an edit be made to the semi-protected article at Territorial Army (India). (edit · history · last · links · protection log)

This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y".

The edit may be made by any autoconfirmed user. Remember to change the |answered=no parameter to "yes" when the request has been accepted, rejected or on hold awaiting user input. This is so that inactive or completed requests don't needlessly fill up the edit requests category. You may also wish to use the {{ESp}} template in the response. To request that a page be protected or unprotected, make a protection request.

There is a mention on Capt Muthukrishnan Iyyappan in this article. This has been deleted multiple times by an editor for no solid reasons.

1. Initially it was removed for no reason. The editor then responded by saying that there were no authentic primary and secondary sources.

2. When pointed out that these sources are there and were cited in the section, the editor again removed the section stating that it was a biography.

3. When pointed out that no biographical information (birth details / family details etc) were given in the section and only those pertaining to the achievement of the officer with respect to territorial army - and only those incidences which either set precedence or were strategically important - were mentioned, the editor again deleted the section stating that the section was a promo

4. The article is semi protected now.

5. Please note that the section does not qualify as a promo as it does not violate any section of the Promotional guidelines of wikipedia. The section is objective, sources (both primary and secondary sources) were cited and indexed, and there is absolutely no information given which can be construed as promotion to the said officer or his business / social / personal / family interest.
