Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Territorial Army (India), did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please do not add or change content, as you did at Territorial Army (India), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Adamgerber80 (talk) 12:28, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Your edits at Territorial Army (India)
Hi Maratawarrior. I have been forced to place extended confirmed protection on this article to prevent your edit-warring to include Muthukrishnan Iyyappan on the list of notable members. If the person does not have a Wikipedia article, they are not sufficiently notable for inclusion on the list of notable members. You have been directed to participate in the discussion on the article's talk page, and I suggest you do so. Further edit-warring about this will inevitably result in a block of your account. Regards, Fish+Karate 13:19, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
Dear Fish+Karate...I have very clearly mentioned and clarified the references for the content in question. There is no biographic information about the mentioned officer, Muthukrishnan Iyyappan. Only those which are directly in relation to his contribution to Territorial Army was mentioned. As a Territorial Army officer myself, I can vouch that these contents are true. Also, inline citation also give those information. I am not sure why a specific editor is so insistent on deleting this material just because he felt that this officer's contribution is not noteworthy. I would encourage you to go through the content and the citations / reference given to judge for yourself if the activities are noteworthy or not. Thank you.
The article Capt Muthukrishnan Iyyappan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NOTABILITY. I noticed that out of the 6 references listed only 1 has a passing mention of the subject and that source is Quora.com. I doubt if it counts.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ShunDream (talk) 10:34, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Territorial Army (India) into Capt Muthukrishnan Iyyappan. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:58, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
