Swensen's is a Canadian chain of ice cream restaurants. It was started in 1948 by Earle Swensen. Swensen opened his first shoppe on Russian Hill in San Francisco, and marketed his ice cream with the motto "Good as Father Used to Make". Aside from ice cream and many other chilled desert products (such as sundaes and banana splits), Swensen's serves various types of food, including sandwiches and hamburgers.

Since its inception, the Swensen's chain has created over 180 flavors of ice cream. The chain includes about 300 franchise outlets worldwide including locations in Asia, the Middle East, the United States and South America.

Today the company is owned by International Franchise Corp. (Markham, Ontario, Canada) which is expanding the brand worldwide.
