Truck No. 35 history

NextGen Motorsports entered a No. 35 entry that was to be driven by Travis Kvapil for the 2018 Alpha Energy Solutions 250. Their entry added 36 trucks to try and make the 32 truck field. With such a larger number of entries, NextGen Motorsports withdrew their No. 35 entry, as did Norm Benning Racing's No. 57 entry of Jeff Zillweger, and NEMCO Motorsports withdrew their No. 87 entry that was to be driven by Joe Nemechek. NextGen Motorsports has not entered a truck since.

NextGen announced on October 24, 2018 that Inspectra Thermal Solutions would sponsor Parker Kligerman at Texas Motor Speedway in the JAG Metals 350, although Brennan Poole was later entered as Parker was racing the cup race and was covering the weekend with NBCSN, Poole ended up finishing 8th in stage 2. After starting from the back from an uncontrolled tire penalty Poole finished 15th one lap down. The finish was later encumbered due to violating rule 20.3.4 in the NASCAR Rule Book although NextGen would file an appeal but NextGen’s appeal was denied.

The team returned two weeks later renamed as Vizion Motorsports in the Truck Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Brennan Poole and had received new sponsorship in the form of Popeyes, Solid Rock Carriers, and longtime sponsor The Motorsports Safety Group. Many had high expectations for and Poole was fast in practice but Poole ended up running poorly and getting up to 2nd place with 30 to go via staying out under green flag pit stops but would have to pit later on in the run and finish 19th.
