Throughout his youth career, Ethan played up in age despite his average size. In some instances he played up multiple age groups.

At the age of 10 Ethan was identified as a top talent and invited to US National ID Camp staffed by West Ham United. Based on his performance at the camp, he was invited to play against and train with the West Ham Youth Academy. He was the youngest attendee at the camp in East London. The youthful player showed his versatility by playing 3 positions against the Hammers Academy.

At the age of 11 he was invited to the Region 3 ODP as a "play-up" and earned the right to play against the CF Monterrey Rayados Youth Academy.

While playing for his U13 team at Classics Elite, Ethan played as a Development Player within the US Soccer Youth Academy system under the NASL San Antonio Scorpions. It was during this time that Ethan was added to the US National Training Pool and attended camps in California and Florida. In 2014 he was also an attendee at the ID2 National Camp in Casa Grande, AZ.

When the US Soccer Academy in San Antonio dissolved, Ethan was offered opportunities to continue playing in the USSDA. Ethan chose to leave San Antonio and attend IMG during his 8th grade year. There he played for their U14 Academy Team. As a standout player Ethan also earned the right to train with the U17 US Soccer Residency program and play with the U16 Academy Team.

Prior to returning to San Antonio, Ethan was invited to play in The Gothia Cup with a team formed with players throughout the US. The team was sponsored by ISTEP USA. Among other accomplishments in Sweden, Ethan registered a hat trick against Toff/IK Rex.

Upon returning to San Antonio, Ethan began training within the SAFC Pro Academy Elite Training Program (ETP) as well as his youth club. Through the ETP he was identified and invited to train with the first team. His consistent performance earned him the honor of being the first SAFC player signed to a USL Academy Contract. Ethan enrolled in on-line school through the Texas Connections Academy to enable his commitment as a full-time member of the USL team.

While still representing his youth Club in 2017-2018, he was named to the ECNL All-American Team and U19 Conference Player of the Year by US Club Soccer. He was also invited to the US Club Soccer National Training Camp.

Ethan wrapped up his first professional season with San Antonio FC with 3 assists and 1 goal in 11 starts.
