On 15 April 2019, some time before 18:50 [[Central European Summer Time|CEST]], a fire broke out on the roof of [[Notre-Dame de Paris|Notre-Dame Cathedral]], Paris, France, causing significant damage to the building. ==Background==
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. [[President of the French Republic|French President]] [[Emmanuel Macron]] postponed a television address on Monday evening after the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral caught fire.
