Ota is also well-known as the home of Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo's farm, the renowned Royal College, the compound of the mega-church Winner's Chapel, and the Africa Leadership Forum. Many manufacturing companies make their home in the industrial area just north of the Sango market. There are 2 universities in Otta, Covenant University and Bells University of Technology. The city is also home to Iganmode Grammar School.
