== HSCC Journal ==

Liance, sorry to sound rude but your rejection of my HSCC submission is somewhat absurd. I suggest you consider other 'Journal' entries in Wikipedia and you will see that I have virtually copied HSCC in a similar style (as best I could). I shouldn't have to point out the obvious similarity for comparison, but if it is necessary, take a look at the 'Journal of Religion and Health' which I have helped to edit and which was improved again by another Wikipedia editor. References / links for verifiability have been included - LC

thank you

Many thanks for your help on my submission. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bonjours1234 (talkcontribs) 02:21, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, glad to be of help. Let me know if you need anything. -Liancetalk/contribs 02:27, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

afC suggestion

You were certainly right to decline User:Kumarkush111/sandbox/Mathurasini Printing Press! But not only is there no indiccation ofsignificance, this is a straight advertisement. The clearest way to indicate the problems with such articles is to also decline them as adv., so both templates papear on the user talk page.

And in this case, it is such a blatant unmistakable advertisement without any possible encyclopedic content, that t also qualifies for Speedy G11. (We're a little more reluctant to use G11 for drafts as for articles, because there's the hope drafts can be rewritten, but when it's as clear as this, G11 is appropriate. The sooner we get rid of these the better)

I'm not going to delete it immediately, so you can see the problem. DGG ( talk ) 07:04, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Looking back I definitely should have also declined adv since it is indeed blatantly unencyclopedic. Thank you for pointing it out, will make sure to do so in the future. I've also put a speedy deletion on the article. Thanks! -Liancetalk/contribs 14:49, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your Reason for Declining an Article is unjust.

@Liance,

Thank you for reviewing the article here [1] for Johnnie a Ghanaian broadcast Journalist. This person is a notable personality in Ghana and has various credible sites approved in the references to prove that. I will appreciate if you relook your action and proceed review since it is still a stub Ghanaian article to be updated. Thanks. Joy Agyepong (talk)

Hi Joy Agyepong, from what I can you provided two sources on your subject (three link to the same article), which I feel does not meet WP:BIO/WP:GNG. If the subject has various credible sites please update your draft article to reflect that. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 14:59, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Liance,

Thank you so much for helping me with my article. After some time, I feel that I've finished with the writing and research process. What's the next step?

Thanks again!

Hi Braniac0312 - I would advise to make sure your reference show that your subject is notable in that it provides secondary, independent, reliable sources. Some of the references do not meet this (i.e. google play store, organization's homepage) currently and would advise the inclusion of more reliable sources to show notability. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 19:45, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How do I edit the name of a draft?

Hey Liance. I was wondering how do you edit the name of a draft article. I accidentally called mine "Edel Crealy" instead of Edel Creely. But I have no idea how to edit the actual "Draft:Edel Crealy" before I send it to be reviewed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Taron Wright (talk) 18:28, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Taron Wright - I have moved your draft article to Draft:Edel Creely with the WP:MOVE function. Let me know if you need any additional assistance. Thanks! -Liancetalk/contribs 19:48, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Liance - Are you decisions completely arbitrary?

You rejected my submission, and the documentation (and reliability) of the sources that were provided is far greater than many of the similar pages on Wikipedia.

Also, if you say Wikipedia isn't a reliable source, than aren't you contradicting your own vetting system?

What gives? This seems like a very inconsistent and arbitrary approval system...No one has endless hours to waste trying to submit articles... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shuckyformet (talkcontribs) 19:36, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shuckyformet, I reviewed your article on the basis of criteria reviewers abide by including WP:NN, WP:NMUSIC - they specify that notability requires secondary, independent, reliable sources that demonstrate significant coverage. Only one of the sources you provided on Draft:The Vectors appears to meet this criteria, as Facebook, Wikipedia and Discogs are user generated content that are not considered valid. Any similar pages on the wiki that do not meet these reference criteria likely do not meet notability requirements in their current form and may be marked for deletion. -Liancetalk/contribs 19:43, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Vivrant

Hi Liance,

I have been waiting for a while to get my first article verified.

How is the process going? Is there something that needs to be improved?

Best, Nils

Hi there Vivrant123 - firstly, based on your username, it seems you might have a potential conflict of interest with the article your are writing. You should make sure to declare your affiliation with the subject on your user page to meet the wiki's policies regarding COI editing. As for your article, I would recommend adding more secondary, reliable sources to help meet the notability criteria. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 17:42, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Declined for inadequate sources not meeting minimum citation standard

Liance, Thank you for reviewing my article Marsha Mazz. This is my first article published and I have two quick questions. First being, how does the article not meet the minimum requirement for citations? I used Wiki's built-in automatic citing and it created the sources and the footnotes. I've checked the s minimum standard for inline citations article and am still confused. Secondly, what exactly do I have to reference? I am reading multiple Wikipedia articles and there is information that is not cited. I just would like to know what needs to be and what does not. I do not know what kind of information can be challenged. Thank you for your time AleitheaAnne (talk) 14:26, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there AleitheaAnne - what I meant by minimum requirement for citations is that your article should include inline citations within the body of the article so that information can be properly verified. The first paragraph in the "Professional Career" section has no citations, so you would need to make sure that information could be verified through the included citations, otherwise that infoaa may not be fit for inclusion.
In addition, you should make sure your subject meets the notability criteria for living persons - press releases do not meet the requirements for secondary, reliable sources, so please try to find alternatives. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 17:47, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rejection

Dear Liance,

I got the rejection to publish Muhammad Shahbaz information. Could you please instruct me how to revise or change?

Best, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngannguyen1702 (talkcontribs) 13:26, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ngannguyen1702, I took a look at your draft and I would make sure your article supported by inline citations - as of now, there are only external links in the article body, which are generally not supposed to be in the body of the article and should be removed. The article reads more like a resume with a list of a achievements rather than a biography, so I would recommend removing links to education, google scholar, etc. and make sure that your article meets the notability criteria for professors through reliable, secondary sources. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 17:33, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Virginia Thompson

Hi Liance, I hope this finds you well. I was wondering if you would be able to review the contributions I have made for Virginia Thompson and ensure they meet Wikipedia's guidelines. I look forward to hearing from you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackrobmartin (talkcontribs) 15:01, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jackrobmartin, one problem I see right now with your draft is that many of the sources are not independent of the subject (not directly affiliated/related with it) - in order to meet notability criteria for living people, I would review your sources and try to add coverage by more secondary sources. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 17:37, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My articles

Hi Liance, I published 5 articles till now and only one of them was accepted. Is there a reason my articles aren't accepted? Thank you. Bechtoll (talk) 00:56, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bechtoll, currently the reviewer queue is a bit long for AfC but provided your draft articles are well sourced and demonstrate notability they should be accepted. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 14:55, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Updated

Dear Liance,

I improved my paper, could you be so kind to please to check and approve it? Or if you make any suggestions for further development, I appreciate your help much.

Best wishes, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngannguyen1702 (talkcontribs) 15:45, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ngannguyen1702, I have reviewed and left feedback on your draft. -Liancetalk/contribs 14:58, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[Opinion needed] Proper name for the draft

[Update] After some discussion with other tech guys at Reddit I think I will leave the name of the draft as is. Eventually google and other search engines will start to index "moleculer" and they will stop assuming that it's a typo.

[Original] Hey Lance. A couple of weeks ago I've created a draft article but now I'm thinking that its name might not be the best. I'll try to explain why. The draft is called "Moleculer" (it's a microservices framework). However, when googling for "Moleculer" the search engine assumes that it's a typo and searches for "molecular" with an "A". As a result it shows a lot of biology related results. So, this time search engine indexing algorithms are not helping at all.

To avoid this issue and to, somewhat, provide better search results I was thinking to change the name of the draft to "Moleculer (microservices framework)". What do you think? Would it help?

PS: I've also added some references (including an IEEE article) to the draft as you've asked.

Draft: dbWatch

Hi Liance,

Good day!

I really need your help as the comment you've made regarding the secondary/reliable source. I've included links from reliable websites that reviewed the dbWatch company. And I don't have any secondary sources but only those websites mentioned in my article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonysy191 (talkcontribs) 11:16, 7 October 2019 (UTC) How can I workaround with this issue?[reply]

Your feedback will be very much appreciated Thank you very much!

Best Regards,

Rejection of e-commerce platform article

My article of e-commerce platform was rejected. E-commerce and e-commerce platform are two different topics. The article with title 'E-commerce platform' was one of the requested articles on Wikipedia. The second reason you mentioned was link farm to two websites. I took the idea from the websites and then wrote in my own words. Another thing that can be done is to include my article under E-commerce. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smitpshah17 (talkcontribs) 03:08, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

SYSML Version 1.5

Lian,

I has been trying to publish the SYSML Version 1.5 document to the wikipedia website (1 September 2019) and did not get your approval since it is a copy right document. Do you mind if I send you the permission message from the copy right owner? I already loaded that permission message from the owner of that wikipedia document but you might not see it somehow. I try to share this information to the wiki audience so they can learn the new method and specification to work on Model Based System Engineering. Also after I get your approval to publish it, I will modify the format to make it more user friendly using the anchor command and hyperlink. Please let me know how I can send the original owner message to you. Note that if this option fails I think the only option left is the owner to load the document to Wikipedia by himself.

Thanks.

Hi Jolenep99 - Wikipedia highly discourages and prohibits the use of non-free content, so I would advise against attempting to obtain permission from the copyright holder since any content hosted on the wiki should be licensed freely. Is that document vital to the subject you are writing about? You could try to exclude it from your draft, or substitute it with your own words/other free sources. Hope this helps. -Liancetalk/contribs 17:07, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: Luis Dato

Hello. There has been a confusion about my draft and the article Luis Dato. I am quite new in the wikipedia and i did not know the rules well. i deeply apologize. I intentionally moved the Draft:Luis Dato to the Article section. The article has been revised by other contributors to a point that it was almost perfect. And then it was deleted. The worse thing is that a couple of websites has already reference (or copied) it. Anyway, I revised the Draft: Luis Dato to the wikipedia's standard. Please review it. Thank you so much. And I apologize again for the move. Stephentalla (talk) 03:50, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stephentalla, everything seems to have worked out with the article for Luis Dato on the mainspace right now. Thank you for your contributions and please let me know if you have any questions! -Liancetalk/contribs 17:08, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kostja Horvat

Hello!

My article has been declined several times now and i wonder as to why. Another user was claiming youtube links are not reliable source's - which is fair. Therefore i removed them and found as much credible sites as possible to back up the information. In this case its several clubs confirming the identity of a player in their records so i am not really sure what more information i can provide. I added youtube links so that the player can be seen playing for a club which should be the most credible source of all.

Please let me know how i can improve this article enough to get approved.
