EBS already has famous penguin character [[Pororo the Little Penguin]] since 2003 which shows very gentle manner. However, Pengsoo is not gentle or stereotype of [[Children's television series]]. It's personality is shirker, cocky, and jealous. Pengsoo is a penguin character who appears on a Youtube channel, Giant PengTV run by Educational Broadcasting System (EBS). It insists that it is 10 years old, and it is employed as a trainee by EBS. It also dreams of being the best creator.[1]

Although it is owned by EBS,[2] it appeared on SBS's radio show, Bae Sung-jae's Ten on October 10th,[3] and MBC's television show, My Little Television V2 on October 19th, 2019.[4] It reicieved a sliver button from YouTube on November 3rd, 2019, after the channel's subscribers exceeding 100,000.[5]
