The game will feature the Nashville Predators and the Dallas Stars.[1] The game will be played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, currently used for college football special events (the State Fair Classic, Red River Showdown and First Responder Bowl); the game continues a tradition of playing a major sporting event in the stadium on New Year's Day, as the stadium hosted the Cotton Bowl Classic until that game moved to AT&T Stadium in 2010.
