Dawn Mello (Died February 16, 2020) is an American fashion retail executive and consultant and the former fashion director and president of Bergdorf Goodman. Currently she is the president of her own firm, Dawn Mello & Associates LLC.[1][2]

in 1975 Mello was hired by Bergdorf's then chairman Ira Neimark to become the store's fashion director. It was during this tenure at the store (of which she would later become president) that she is credited with discovering and promoting the talents and designs of Michael Kors.[3] In the nineteen eighties she was a mentor to Donna Karan.[4]

She was hired by Maurizio Gucci to work in his family brand in 1989, and relauch the fashion and luxury image, that Gucci had lost over the past decades. She quits after 3 years and go back to Berddorf Goodman as president of the company.[5]

Mello appears in the 2013 documentary Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's.[6]
