Manjappada is also known for the support given to the Indian National Football Team.They join hands with the Blue Pilgrims,which is the fan club of Indian Football Team during their matches.Manjappada has different wings across the Asian continent.When the Indian team comes to play their matches outside India,Manjappada members are often seen giving support to them along with the Blue Pilgrims.Indian Coach Igor Stimac even mentioned their effort after they came to the Airport in Qatar to welcome the Indian team ahead of the AF Asian Cup 2019.

The Manjappada is a supporters group of Kerala Blasters of the Indian Super League which organises promotional activities for the club during Indian Super League and football in general in India.[1]The group started originally as a Facebook page before expanding through WhatsApp groups and other forums.[2]They won the 'Best Fan Club of the Year' award in 2017 at the Indian Sports Honours[3]

History

Inception and Early Days:2014-2016

Manjappada was founded as a facebook page on 28 May 2014 with three founders. Kerala Blasters had an average attendance of 49000 during the inaugral season of Indian Super League.By 2015 it started to co-ordinate more fans under one umbrella.They played a crucial role for giving intense support for the blasters during the 2015 season despite of the team's performance.During the 2015 ISL Season blasters recorded with an average attendance of 52000, which is still the highest in the history of Indian Super League.Most of the matches had an attendance of more than 60000.[4]
