Development

On November 12, 2019, Paul Thomas Anderson will direct a film he wrote and produce under Ghoulardi Film Company.[1] On December 18, 2019, Focus Features will produce and distribute the film.[2] On July 17, 2020, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer acquired distribution of the film from Focus.[3]

Filming
