::Anyway, that's all I really have. Bottom line: I'd wait two more months at least, just gaining experience, getting into the situations you're going to be teaching students about, and just getting around looking at things. Teaching isn't just putting stuff up and then looking at the answers manual when grading, it's going through you're students contribs, helping them out as needed, elaborating at hard points, and just knowing how to do stuff. This isn't to say you're inexperienced, just not quite to the level I personally would like to see in a CVUA trainer. Does this make any sense? I mean everything as simply critical advice, not anything personal. I'm glad you're so eager, we always need more help! Regarding the CVUA

Hi Puddleglum, I'm asking if I can become a CVUA trainer. I think I've gained enough experience to become a trainer. I've been taking it easy the past month, but now I'll be spending more time here. It's fine if you'll say no, no worries. Thanks, Thanoscar21talk, contribs 22:26, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanoscar21, hi, thanks for reaching out! I remember being eager to become a trainer after I graduated, so I just have a couple bits of advice for you.
  • Take it a bit slow. It shows well that you came here before adding yourself, but remember that we're really in no big hurry. Being slow and cautious is better than fast and making lots of mistakes, it helps build good experience.
  • Speaking of experience, it's a good thing! Even though you only have a thousand less edits than I, the longer you're here, the more you'll see, and that helps when helping others.
  • Get some specific experience, like helping out at the Teahouse. Even though it isn't CV specific, answering questions there is still a good way to learn how to help
Anyway, that's all I really have.
