== Speedy deletion? ==
It looks like the page was nominated for speedy deletion in June, it looks like the company (or its chair) might have paid people to edit it? Is there more detail on what happened? It seems odd that a page would end up in the deletion process without any discussion here on the talk page about what happened. Saying that Transcorp isn't notable and the article should be deleted is a great example of systemic bias in Wikipedia - just because people outside of Nigeria haven't heard about them doesn't mean that they're not notable in Nigeria. Speedy deletion?

It looks like the page was nominated for speedy deletion in June, it looks like the company (or its chair) might have paid people to edit it? Is there more detail on what happened? It seems odd that a page would end up in the deletion process without any discussion here on the talk page about what happened. Saying that Transcorp isn't notable and the article should be deleted is a great example of systemic bias in Wikipedia - just because people outside of Nigeria haven't heard about them doesn't mean that they're not notable in Nigeria. More information needed

I just created this as a stub to remind me to come back later this week and add more information. This is a new company that's in the news a lot in Nigeria. Rjhatl 17:08, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
