  • Comment: Also, File:StopAntisemitism.org.png doesn't seem to be under an appropriate license. I cannot find anywhere saying that works by this NGO are released under CC 3.0, and it is likely fair use. If the image is under the correct license, I suggest linking the page where the license for it is declared. — Yours, Berrely • TalkContribs 20:57, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
  • Comment: Most of the sources of the article come from Israeli or Jewish newspapers, which may not be suitable as their reliability is questionable. A press release shouldn't be cited as it is a primary source. Most of the sources do not either contain the subject in significant coverage. The article also seems to not maintain a neutral point of view, using words and phrases such as "committed", "combatting", "exposing" and "in order to make a difference". Please also do not submit duplicate drafts, as it will mean it is less likely for the main one to be reviewed. • The suggestion that sources from Israeli or Jewish newspapers are of questionable reliability is unfounded. And racist. Quite inappropriate. 2603:7000:2143:8500:7913:1C16:7EF2:49A9 (talk) 04:56, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

StopAntisemitism.org is a non-governmental organization committed to combatting anti-semitism and exposing anti-semitic groups, people and instances.

History

StopAntisemitism.org was founded by Liora Rez, a social media activist and an "ardent zionist".[1][2] Rez founded the NGO, in order to make a difference using her large internet following, after the rise in support for BDS on college campuses and the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.[1][3][4] The organization was also founded with a name and shame approach where those who exhibit anti-semitism are exposed.[1]

Activities

In October 2019, StopAntisemitism.org sent a petition with 2,000 signatures to the US Department of Education calling on governmental agency to keep the Council on American-Islamic Relations off of college campuses because of their "anti-Semitism, and anti-American bias."[5] Two months later, StopAntisemitism.org along with the Zachor Legal Institute released a report that they purport exposes far-right groups and white supremacist being legitimized by those on the left in support of the BDS movement.[6]

In August 2020, StopAntisemitism.org joined with more than 120 other NGOs in signing a letter to Facebook requesting that the company creates a hate speech policy on anti-Semitism including the Working Definition of Antisemitism.[7]

StopAntisemitism has reported instances of anti-semitism from figures such as Ferris State University professor Thomas Brennan, television personality Alton Brown, activist Marc Lamont Hill and journalist Christiane Amanpour.[8][9][10][11]

Antisemite of the Year

Starting in 2019, the organization began a yearly competition to select a figure to be named "Antisemite of the Year." Thousands of people voted in a poll, which resulted in Ilhan Omar beating out Louis Farrakhan and Richard Spencer as the inaugural winner of the contest.[12][13][14][15]

Winners

Antisemite of the Week

Every week, the organization names an "Antisemite of the Week" based upon the weekly news and headlines.[1] Those selected include Rashida Tlaib, Roger Waters, Mel Gibson and Linda Sarsour.[1][16][17]
