Sean Wallis is a Principal Research Fellow at the Survey of English Usage at University College London.

He is a researcher in Corpus linguistics who (unusually) majored in Artificial Intelligence before moving to the Survey in 1995. He is an experienced computer programmer, having developed the ICECUP corpus research platform and has provided IT support to the Englicious project.

He is the author of several academic books and articles, and he runs a blog on statistics in corpus linguistics, corp.ling.stats, https://corplingstats.wordpress.com.
