Liverpool vs Barcelona (4 - 0)[1] was the result a historic second leg of a UEFA Champions League tie which occurred on 7 May 2019 at Anfield in Liverpool.[2] Liverpool F.C. overturned a three-goal deficit in the second leg of their semi-final tie of the UEFA Champions League Semi-Final against F.C Barcelona, making it the largest unaided comeback in UEFA Champions League history.[3] The Anfield Atmosphere, created by the Liverpool fans, are known to taunt and daunt the opposition.[4] Liverpool had two of their main players (Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino) injured and were not eligible to play in the match. However, Divock Origi, scored two goals as Roberto Firmino's replacement and Xherdan Shaqiri got an assist as Mohamed Salah's replacement.[5] Super-sub, Gini Wijnaldum came of the bench on the 52nd minutes, scoring 2 goals in the 54th and 56th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, scouser Trent Alexander-Arnold took a stunning and shocking corner (while the Barcelona players were caught of guard) Divock Origi mashed it home with an amazing finish[6].Leonel Messi, regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, was kept silent by Liverpool's Midfield and Defence; he was seen broken in tears after the match.[7] As well as Barcelona having a 3 goal lead, the starting eleven of the 1st leg remained the same and every player has a week of rest, as they had already won the La Liga.[8]
