C.W. Lemoine (born 19 Feb 1983) is the author of the Spectre series, a reserve fighter pilot, reserve police officer and aviation analyst.

Personal life

Born in 1983, Lemoine grew up in Eunice Louisiana with a brother of similar age, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth.[1] Lemoine graduated from Tulane University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management studying business law and marketing.[2] His mother worked at a hospital and passed away in 1995[3] as a result of an aneurysm and his father passed away in 2013.

Career

United States Air force & Navy

Lemoine applied to the Air Force reserve and completed Air Force Officer Training School in 2006, following the completion of his training and graduation from the fighter pilot program, he was stationed in Homestead Air Force Base where he flew the F-16 with the call sign Mover. In 2009, Lemoine deployed to Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, wherein he averaged sixty to seventy hours within two months on the F-16 and eventually accumulated a thousand hours on the aircraft[4] following the tour, Lemoine also partook in that year's Red Flag exercise.

Following the deployment, Lemoine requested for and received a transfer to the Navy Reserves citing his unhappiness from being far away from home and the diagnosis of his father's health condition at the time, he trained on the F-18 and qualified to fly the aircraft in 2012. After flying the aircraft for seven months and following the test of an upper back pain, Lemoine was diagnosed with Polycystic kidney disease[5] thus, suspending him from flying for a period of seven months, as a result of being unable to waiver the medical issue, Lemoine transferred back into the Air Force reserves and in 2018 was commissioned in the reserves as a major, flying the T-38 playing adversary air with F-22 pilots.

Writing & other endeavors

Lemoine began writing as a way to cope from the passing of his mother at the age of twelve,[6] after the completion of his novella, he attempted to publish it but was unsuccessful when the book wasn't picked up by agents. During his downtime between the transfer from Navy to Air Force reserves, he began writing the Spectre series and published the books independently, the books contain fictional characters with real life scenarios and events pertaining to Lemoine's life.

Lemoine is a reserve officer in the St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana and has based his book Absolute Vengeance, after the events of his experiences as a deputy, however, Lemoine mentioned that the events are not correlated to his department. [7]

He started his YouTube channel in 2011 during his career as a fighter pilot in the Air Force, without a particular purpose but soon went onto provide career advice in terms aviation in the military,[8] general gaming videos as well as reaction videos to general as well as military aviation events. He received attention in 2018 for his video, wherein he reacted to and analysed the Greek mirage and Turkish F-16 incident.[9][10] Post video, in August of that year a Turkish General had stated to not underestimate the greeks following the incident and Lemoine's comments Good on the Hellenic Air Force pilot, he basically converted high to low, and owned him.[11]

Lemoine garnered attention in March 2021, for the creation of the reality show project Fight's on, wherein he and fellow fighter pilot friend Trevor "Gonky" Hartsock and their students,[12] would go head to head in a simulated dog fight with the help of real SIAI-Marchetti S.211s. The project is mainly aimed at providing well known novice DCS fighter pilots in the community as well as sports athletes, celebrities[13] and other non-military students with an accurate depiction of real life fighter pilot briefings, combat flight and situations. The project aims to provide the Folds of Honor military charity with 5% of its revenue raised during the crowdfunding phase of the project.[14]
