Samantha Brown

Samantha Brown is known as a TV host of several travel programs on the Travel Channel, including Girl Meets Hawaii, Great Hotels, and Passport to Europe. She also hosted Great Vacation Homes on the CTV Travel channel. In March of 2007, Brown's newest project will be in the 2nd of Travel Channel's Passport series will premiere with "Passport to Latin America".

In her role of host she introduces viewers to vacation destinations, hotels and vacation homes in the U.S. and elsewhere, and explores the locations and activities these destinations offer. In July 2006, she announced plans to film a special on the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship.

Born in Dallas, Texas on March 31, 1969, her family soon moved to Derry, New Hampshire, where she grew up and graduated from Pinkerton Academy[1]. She took 12 years of voice lessons, and attended Syracuse University studying musical theater. Her early career included working in commercials, including playing the spokesperson "Wendy Wire" for a company called Century Cable. She is also involved in the comedy sketch group "Mouth," based in New York where she has lived for ten years. Her work in comedy is clearly apparent in the off-beat humor she brings to her travel shows. She has also appeared in several Broadway shows as an actress and singer.
