Webbie (born Webster Gradney, Jr. on September 6, 1985) is a rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He came into the hip-hop scene in 2005 with "Give Me That" which featured UGK rapper Bun B. His song "Bad Bitch" was featured in the 2005 movie Hustle & Flow. Webbie's debut album Savage Life was released on July 4 2005.


Biography

Gradney was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in the rough Glen Oaks (Oaktown) section of the city. His mother Jocelyn died of cancer on August 11, 1998. He spent his teen years living with his father and grandmother. Gradney started rapping at the age of 5. At the age of 15, he was signed to the record label Trill Entertainment which was co-owned by Pimp C of UGK. He frequently raps and performs with various other artists in the region. The most famous artist he performs with is a fellow Baton Rouge native by the name of Lil' Boosie. Recently he has been recording an album with one of the hottest new artists on the scene, K-Bomb (Alex Cloyd-Simcoe). Their debut album is set to release in November of 2007.
