The ancient Tamils reached the English coast? Tamil words in English? ha ha haha
Madras Bashai
I do not remember if I deleted your contributions. But, if I was the one who deleted it, I would have done it only for the purpose of organizing the article. I definitely agree with your argument that words like Kashmalam are from Sanskrit. You may certainly add them back, but please make sure it is in the right place. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jash121 (talk • contribs) 07:21, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Kasi U.P.Krishnamachary has been reverted.
Your edit here to Kasi U.P.Krishnamachary was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.printsasia.com/book/Devadasi-System-in-Medieval-Tamil-Nadu-K-Sadasivan-8185381321-9788185381329)) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:11, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
The article Kasi U.P.Krishnamachary has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:Essay and No WP:Notable sources
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 16:24, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Your recent editing history shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block. If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly.. per WP:BRD when someone disputes your addition please discuss it in the talk page before reinserting the text. i have opened a discussion in the article talk page.--Sodabottle (talk) 17:14, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Citrus
Hi, your addition to this page doesn't really fit the style, but I wonder if the information can be added in a different way. You wrote "} In the southern part of India two more kinds of citrus fruits are cultivated called in Tamil 'Naaraththangai' (நாரத்தங்காய்) and ' Kadarangai' (கடாரங்காய்) which are used only for making pickles." Apparently these are known in English as Citron, but there are many varieties that are linked from that page. Perhaps you can link from the Tamil wikipedia to the appropriate ones. Different names
You bring a good point, let's review it with time, why not bring it up in the talk page, we also need to get reliable sources backing up those names. I might find some as well. Kanatonian (talk) 19:24, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Shanmatham
I apologize for taking so long to respond. I was unable to find independent and reliable sources for information about "forms of God (Shanmatham)" in a Google search. I found personal blogs and forum posts but those aren't reliable sources. This doesn't mean that the information isn't there just that I wasn't able to find it in a quick search. But I'm not actually that knowledgeable about the subject. The main reason I reverted your edit, and I should have been more explicit in my edit summary, besides what I felt were a lack of sources, was that it wasn't integrated well into the article. The way you put that list in there it looked like it was just there by itself. Generally it's better for Wikipedia articles to have a heading for Denominations (like the article has) and then subheadings for each denomination. I'm really not sure how you would be able to add that list and still have the article flow properly. I also notice that at the top of that section is a link to a separate article on Hindu denominations which goes into greater detail and has more information about more groups. Your list does not appear to include all the information in that article which it would need to in order to be used in the article. SQGibbon (talk) 16:52, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 29
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Coccinia grandis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tamil (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
