Westringia longifolia, commonly known as long-leaved westringia, coastal rosemary, or snow flurry, is a shrub species that is endemic to southeastern Australia.[1][2][3]

Description

It is a shrub with long, slender, grey-green foliage that grows 1 to 3 m high with a similar spread. Found in dry shrublands and in rocky areas, the plant features hairy stems, aromatic leaves (when crushed) in whorls that are 3cm long and 1-2mm wide.[4]

It features white to mauve flowers, 8–10 mm long with purple to light brown spots, that can bloom any time of the year, but more prolifically in spring.[5][4]

Cultivation

Thriving in sandy or loamy soils in coastal locations, it can be grown as a hedge plant in climates that don't get severely cold in the winter.[6] Snow flurry is one of the plant's main cultivars.[7]
