Elite Xtreme Combat, also known as EliteXC, is a U.S.-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organization. It was founded as a partnership between Showtime Networks Inc. (a CBS Company) and Pro Elite, Inc. (PELE.PK), and officially announced on December 14th, 2006[1]. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

The partnership to form EliteXC was announced on November 13th, 2006 [2]. The first major event is scheduled for Saturday, February 10th, 2007, at 10:00PM EST at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Fighters Frank Shamrock and Renzo Gracie are scheduled to fight in the main event.

EliteXC 1 - Destiny

The first EliteXC Event ("Destiny") was announced unnamed on November 13th, 2006. It is scheduled for Saturday, February 10th, 2007, at 10:00PM EST at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi, and will be televised live on Showtime.

With less than one month to go before the debut event, every fight on the card has been finalized. The televised portion of the fight card includes: Frank Shamrock vs. Renzo Gracie in the main event. Wesley Correira vs. Antonio Silva in a heavyweight bout; Middleweights David Loiseau vs. Joey Villasenor; Women’s Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie; and lightweights K.J. Noons vs. Charles Bennett

Also, in a ground-breaking move, EliteXC will stream the following undercard bouts LIVE on the Internet at www.ProElite.com beginning 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT
