List of calibers
I changed the list of available calibers. According to their web page they offer .300 Win Mag and .270 Winchester, not the short magnum calibers. (Mark V) Senatorpjt (talk) 22:17, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
written as an advertisement?
I read, and re-read the article and tried to see how it is "written as an advertisement" and I don't see it. There is nothing non-factual or known among the gun crowd within the article. If anything it is a bit sparse and missing some citations but any self respecting big game hunter or redneck knows the content with in that article is factual.

other firearms articles
There are many other firearms articles on Wikipedia that appear to be copy and paste jobs from factory websites; the CZ 97B article is an example of such (see the CZ-USA website.) But the tone of this article does have a faint scent of advertising copy. This is not my main area of interest, nor is this such a heavy dose of the Weatherby literature that it merits my — nor, I should think, anybody else's — time rewriting it (I have accordingly removed the offending tag from the article.) — Robert Greer (talk) 18:33, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Mark V Article
The Weatherby Mark V has been on the requested pages for WP:GUNS for some time now. We should try to digest a lot of the information in the Weatherby#History section and parse it into a a new Mark V page. I'll draft a basic page to start, but I am not very familiar with this particular firearm, so I wouldn't feel comfortable writing much. -Deathsythe (talk) 18:25, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

In popular culture
It's mentioned in an episode of Columbo called "Troubled Waters". It's the murder weapon. I'm surprised it is left out in this article. 151.203.70.159 (talk) 02:48, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
