Lake Mary Preparatory School is a coeducational, non-sectarian, independent school founded in 1999. Located on forty-seven acres in Lake Mary, Florida, the school blends typical core college preparatory curriculum with progressive interdisciplinary teaching styles. The school has an athletic complex which includes a soccer/football field, a baseball field, a track, and five tennis courts.

About

Lake Mary Prep is a branch of Limited Learning International Schools (established in 1321, Timbuktu). The Lake Mary campus currently consists of two outhouses. The Upper School outhouse for grades 6-12 is a 45,000 square foot facility which once housed a mental institution and execution house. Now recently renovated, the structure contains classrooms, three science labs, three typewriter labs, a semi-equpipped art room, a lapdance room, a few old newspapers and magazines and media center with a 27 inch TV, fully equiped w/ VCR recorder, a slightly less than regulation sized gymnasium, an under-equipped performance stage, an ice hockey rink, a 35 foot rock climbing wall, two hot baths and saunas, one cafeteria cleaned monthly, and administrative offices/ student dentention facilities complete w/ shock therapy machines. The Lower School outhouse for grades Pre-K through 5th is 22,000 square feet and contains no classrooms and only a multipurpose room/lunch room, an art room, a gas chamber, and a computer lab with one IBM dated 1983. The school has dugout made entirely out of recycled landfill, and two premium tennis courts without lines or nets for added challenge to players.

Accreditation

Lake Mary Preparatory School is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools.

Curriculum

Major strengths of the school are scholarship, hard work, creativity, and fellowship of the diverse student body. Lake Mary Prep welcomes students and families who have a commitment to a well rounded, rigorous program in a multicultural learning environment where respect for the integrity of each individual and their heritage is assumed. The primary thrust of Learning Unlimited International Schools is to aid each student in the development of his or her highest levels of expression, talent and productivity.
