Let's Go Brandon! is a political slogan and internet meme used as a euphemism for "Fuck Joe Biden" in reference to the US. President Joe Biden.[1] It was primarily used on October 2, 2021, when NASCAR driver Brandon Brown was being interviewed live on camera in front of a crowd chanting “Fuck Joe Biden,” which the NBC anchor Kelli Stavast misinterpreted as supportive chants of “Let’s Go Brandon”.[2]
After the interview's video went viral, people started to create different memes with the phrase and post them on social media. Brown has then remarked that he was finding some humor in his name becoming a new slogan. He wrote on Twitter: "To all the other Brandons out there, you're welcome! Let's go us."[2]
Background
Before the slogan became mainstream, protestors were shouting the original 'Fuck Joe Biden' chant at sports events throughout the United States, including the New York Jets game against the Tennessee Titans at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on October 3, 2021. The chant was even heard at the Ryder Cup in September and has obtained its own hashtag #FJB.[2] Subsequently, this new slogan's hashtag has been seen in the comments section of news websites, and gradually since its first use, the phrase has become omnipresent among conservative circles including pundits and politicians.[3] Donald Trump Jr., Senator Ted Cruz, journalist Will Sommer, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, political commentator Dave Rubin and the NRA are among many who used or reacted to the meme.[2][4]

Songs
Some musicians have been using the phrase as a way of voicing their dissent with President Biden.[3] An anti-Biden rap song called "Let's Go Brandon" was performed by rapper Loza Alexander. Alexander is a New Jersey-based Trump supporter and a "MAGA rapper".[4] His song first went viral on TikTok then rose to the top on the iTunes hip-hop chart and became number one.[5] Another song of the same name was performed by Forgiato Blow.
