A mudflap, or mud flap, is a flap, usually on a truck, to prevent mud from being thrown up onto the vehicle.

While some flaps are plain rubber, many contain company logos or other art. One popular image is cartoon character Yosemite Sam with the words “Back Off!”. Another is the mudflap girl, a silhouette of a scantily-clad female sitting, with her hair being blown in the wind. (Sam and the mudflap girl are shown going on a date in a 2006 Super Bowl commercial.)

A mudflap can also refer to a man with a bald head with longer hair in the back. This is not to be confused with a mullet - which is short cut hair on top with longer hair in the back.

"Mudflap" is also a term for the overly large Labia Majoria of the vagina. This is accredited to a female being of questionable morals.
