- Connection evidence
- All used to POV push at least three of Superpower, Great power, Potential superpowers, United States
- Master and confirmed proxy User:66.17.49.165 also share an interest in lawn mowers.
- Master, User:66.17.49.165 and User:69.239.171.174 were used to revert to one edit at Talk:United States.
- All push a kommersant article with misleading title to death in earlier mentioned articles
- Listing two diff per every IP as evidence: User:24.205.234.250 12, 24.180.3.127 12, 64.69.158.252 12, 66.17.49.165 12, 69.239.171.174 12 User:Versace11 12
- Similar style of edit summaries and all sign with --~~~~.
- Offenses
- Repeating heavy edit warring on mentioned articles, when User:24.205.234.250 earned a 24h block User:66.17.49.165 and User:69.239.171.174 were used to continue.
- Complete reports for two of those edit warring incidents with User:24.205.234.250 are listed at AN3.
- Two articles were forced to be put on full protection at least partially in response to his edit warring.
- Superpower (history) (look for User:24.180.3.127)
- Great power (history) (look for User:24.205.234.250)
- His other IP User:24.180.3.127 also had a block for "harassment and personal attacks" May 30 2008 (diff)
- Confuses and misleads others with his multiple connections. Diffs on Talk:potential superpowers as evidence:
- Constantly heating up discussions with personal attacks among other things
- Not going to make a big list as his previous block at User:24.180.3.127 is enough proof. Some at Potential superpowers:
- Long term edit warring evidence (added 23 June 2008)
Using kommersant article as source for being a superpower. Only mention of superpower is in the title, that is not backed up by it's context, and for that misleading. Recently it was discussed at Talk:Potential superpowers. Five editors expressed being against using it as source. Only 24.205.234.250 claimed it to be an excellent source. Even though I left a specific message about that on his talk page 1, he just added it another five times (see below).

- 66.17.49.165 (talk · contribs) and 69.239.171.174 (talk · contribs), have been each blocked one year by ST47 as open proxies
- Just found out User:Versace11 also belongs to his network, had block for Disruptive editing end May. Makes three blocks together in less then a month.
- I haven't checked all the diffs, but from the tone of the presentation I think we're looking at a formal ban on Versace11. See also my answer to Lucasbfr on the checkuser case: Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/24.205.234.250. Yechiel (Shalom) 01:22, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Latest edits don't show any improvements in pattern. Simply cleans messages on his talk page, and then ignores them. Has so far managed to stay below the radar by no longer using his account, and switching between the IPs. Earned a total of four blocks in a one month period of time, and an extra two on proxy IPs. Species8473 (talk) 03:02, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- User:24.205.234.250 is blocked for a week. Other IP User:64.69.158.252 is used to continue the long term editwarring (diff). Species8473 (talk) 05:58, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Per the result of Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Versace11, which finds that the 24.* accounts listed in the CU report are also Versace11, a decision has to be made on whether additional blocks should be imposed. This case has been a confusing one. I hope someone like Shalom will be able to refresh our memory. EdJohnston (talk) 20:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As some one who has been very active at WikiProject: Power in international relations, I believe that all of those suspected sockpuppets and the master need to be blocked permanently. I can not begin to describe how much time, energy, and goodwill they have wasted. We've probably wasted two months because of their disruptions and slander. They have made personal attacks on nearly everyone that disagrees with them. For instance,
I think your just full of crap, your hogwash comments have no foundation of facts. Give me a break, 4.9%, try 5.8% from last week. No recession? Where are you from Saudi Arabia? What a dumb ass, the US is in a serious recession and you want to say everything is wonderful in the good old USA? Wow! That is some comment there Hobie Hunter. I think I will call Kermit the Frog tell him we have some kind of expert on Wikipedia so we can teach 3 to 6 yr olds about a former superpower since your so good at telling the facts right out there, your out there, way out there guy.--75.15.133.176 (talk) 09:08, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
That says enough. These sockpuppets need to be permanently blocked. They have the same agenda, stay on the same pages, behave the same, and have been disrupting all of the articles at [[[Wikipedia:WikiProject Power in international relations|WikiProject: Power in international relations]]. To anyone who has had to deal with them and seen their behavior as I have, they are all sockpupperts. Quack, quack, quack --Hobie Hunter (talk) 14:07, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Great, confirmation on Versace11 in combination with the 24.x IPs. Two others are already blocked for being suspected proxy accounts. Leaves only the University of La Verne IP (64.69.158.252), that happens to be in the area of where the 24.x IPs locate.
- I have added a section on talk page behavior and sockpuppetry above.
- I support a long term block on Versace11, and the connected IPs:
- Constant POV pushing
- Repeated edit warring
- Repeated block circumvention
- Repeated attacks on talk pages
- Threat with violence June 1
- Proven sock puppetry
- Five blocks in one month
- Lack of constructive edits
- The long list of abuses, in combination with no real contributions, should be enough reason to take away edit privileges. =Species8473= (talk) 14:17, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The users in question all seem to have similar styles of editing and writing aswell. They do the same type of thing, and have wasted a lot of time on WikiProject: Power in International Relations with edit warring and personal attacks. I think that all this information is clearly enough to permanently block all of the related IPs. Saru (talk) 14:33, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- The IP that Hobie Hunter mentions locates to San Luis Obispro. 1 All the 24.x IPs locate there too 123. Another IP that got my attention is 75.15.137.201, his only edit is kommersant push. And it also locates to San Luis Obispro 1. I'm guessing it's a wireless connection that Versace11 uses because his own IP User:24.205.234.250 is blocked for a week. Another ban circumvent on the list. =Species8473= (talk) 15:06, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- So, can we just block them all and get on with our lives? --Hobie Hunter (talk) 15:25, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I've blocked Versace11 indef and applied the {{checkedpuppeteer}} template. All the IPs named in this report should be blocked, though it could take some research to determine how long. They should also be tagged with Versace11 as the sockmaster. Will it cause any trouble if I rename this report to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Versace11? I'll try to block the IPs later today when I have time but if another admin wants to do it, please go ahead. EdJohnston (talk) 15:48, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My opinion for block times:
- Long term (6 month) for IPs he will likely continue to use: 24.205.234.250, 24.205.234.250, 24.180.3.127 and 64.69.158.252
- Are already blocked as proxy: 66.17.49.165 and 69.239.171.174
I wouldn't bother with 75.15.133.176 and 75.15.137.201 for now. The first IP was used half a month ago, and only three times. The second only once, today. That may be reason enough for a (short) block. But they are likely owned by other people, and it may not help as it looks dynamic. I will monitor the IPs and pages though, that I judge should be enough. =Species8473= (talk) 17:02, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Added: 75.0.66.119 to list, follows Versace11 behavior pattern, and connects from San Luis Obispo 1. Currently blocked for 24h by User:East718. =Species8473= (talk) 08:15, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree. Look at one of the IPs' edits: "I think the above 3 sources are better sources than Hobbie Hunter (all of the sockpuppets spell my name like this) pointed out, if you look at this 2030 source, it is blog and it isn't backed by any author either, how can you reach the guy. Saruman20 (Saru had already changed his name. This user had obviously been watching the talk page for a long while) why would you want to use a blog source when the other sources are backed by publication facts (blantantly untrue)." This is exactly the same behavior and style of editing as Versace11 and his puppets. Keep the case open for a long while. --Hobie Hunter (talk) 17:40, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Added User:Bimota101 to the list, follows the behaviour pattern. This user has only one edit: to Talk: Potential superpowers saying exactly the same things as the other IPs and Versace11 have said. Saru (talk) 22:58, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Agreed with this being a suspected new Versace11 account. I think there is no admin action needed, as he has caused no damage. We also have no hard evidence. I did leave a message on the users talk page, asking the user to deny or confirm being Versace11. =Species8473= (talk) 23:34, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just added a section on the events at lawn mower. A bias section was created by 75.15.x IP from San Luis Obispo. After that restored by another 75.15.x IP and others we know is Versace11. And now it's the new account User:Barbieone restoring it. Here is ip2location on the two 75.15.x IPs 12. =Species8473= (talk) 12:12, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Dropped abuse@att.net a mail, asking them to contact the 75.15.x customer. =Species8473= (talk) 15:09, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
Per the above discussion, I've blocked Versace11 indef, the three 24.* accounts for six months each, the 64.69.158.252 for three months. The last of these has strong behavioral evidence, and was shown to have geographical proximity by the checkuser report.
Per Species8473's recommendation I've left the two 75.* accounts unblocked, but will consider them later if this editor's distinctive edits continue from those IPs.
Please let me know if this report can be closed. EdJohnston (talk) 01:44, 27 June 2008 (UTC). Leaving the report open for a while since edits similar to those of Versace11 are continuiing from a new 75.* IP address near San Luis Obispo. See the comment by East718. Since the 75.* accounts have only edited Talk pages (not articles) there is no need to consider semi-protection, yet. EdJohnston (talk) 15:55, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
