No underscores in wikilinks
@Jimmy Olano: Please don't include underscores in wikilinks. For example, in your recent edit of 5 Whys, you added the wikilink [[Root_cause_analysis|Root cause analysis]]
, which includes an unnecessary pipe (see WP:PIPE) as well as unnecessary underscores (the _
character). The wikilink should have been formatted simply as [[Root cause analysis]]
instead. For further examples of properly formatted wikilinks, see MOS:LINK. Thanks, Biogeographist (talk) 20:15, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
'Minor' edits
Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to IT asset management, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 08:16, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Dicklyon. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Central processing unit have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Dicklyon (talk) 05:42, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
- No problem, thanks for your guide Mr. Dicklyon! --Jimmy Olano (talk) 11:51, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi there - to let you know I have nominated HP Operations Manager for deletion. Letting you know as you have contributed to the article and may want to comment. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 17:55, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Time series database - reliable sourcing
Hello Jimmy Olano, please try to avoid using self-published PR publications as references for Wikipedia. While self-published sources can occasionally be used for uncontroversial information in a topic's own article (WP:SPS), many of these publications primarily serve to promote the publisher's products or to polish their reputation (see for example the section "Why InfluxDB is unique" in the removed website). Usually such sites are not credible, unbiased sources for encyclopedic content and should be avoided in favor of truely independent expert sources (books, reputed journals or non-promotional expert websites with a reputation of fact-checking). Just wanted to clarify the reasoning behind my revert a bit, but please feel free to ask if you have any further questions. GermanJoe (talk) 14:56, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
Generally we stick with review articles rather than primary sources. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 18:02, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Citation bot usage
Hello, I saw [1] and I thought you might be interested in suggestions of articles on which to work with citation bot. If so, let me know! Nemo 20:00, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- Congratulations for your 5k edits! There's certainly a lot of work to do on citation templates in the Spanish Wikipedia. I made one thousand edits in a few days fixing just one very specific error on the Italian Wikipedia but I still didn't find enough demand for someone like Wikipedia:OABOT to be adapted outside of the English Wikipedia. Disambiguation link notification for June 3
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hacker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CNE (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
