McKenzie's blood glucose level?

It's a given that McKenzie's blood sugar was fatally high, but what source can we look at, as to what figure was obtained? knoodelhed (talk) 09:11, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

American Greed in the episode about Mr. Barnbaum, the physician assistant working for Barnbaum (Barnes) at the time stated that the blood glucose level was over "1000" (presumably in mg/mL). That is an extremely high and dangerous level. fr33kman
Found and saw the show, PA Rick d'Alessandro confirmed the figure of 1,200 mg/dL (a1c > 40). knoodelhed (talk) 04:27, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite needed

The article needs work. It skips the fact that Mr. Barnbaum escaped Federal custody because he was classed as a low risk prisoner and was transferred from one Federal prison to another by being given a bus ticket, released on license and told to report to the other prison, he didn't. It was then that he began working for Executive Health. The article should also have some minor focus on the physician assistant that disclosed his actions to the police and FBI, multiple times. fr33kman 04:03, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Prison time

The article doesn't say when the plea deal was reached, but presumably it was reached in the late 1990's. So if the plea deal was for 12.5 years, why did he die in prison in 2018? According to the show American Greed, Barnbaum was given an additional ten-year sentence when it was learned that he went back to work as a doctor after escaping prison. He may have gotten 6 months for the escape itself, but that wasn't his only additional punishment. So his 12.5 year sentence was extended to 22.5 years, and THAT'S why he died in prison in 2018.
