Deletion discussion about Marital compatibility

[edit]

Hello, Mojackjutaily,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Marital compatibility should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marital compatibility .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

TheLongTone (talk) 11:49, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WOSO editors! A few initiatives have been started with an emphasis on making more WOSO links blue (similar to the work that WikiProject Women in Red does) and filling in the gaps within various league, team, and player, etc. articles.

If you're interested in collaborating with others to make more links blue, take a look at the initiatives listed in the box below. Sign up at the bottom of an initiative page and help grow the lists, add potential references, resources, and create the articles ... or create your own initiative.

Did you know ...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in 1 active women's league)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Mojackjutaily. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello WOSO editors! What a 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France! There has been a lot of activity on tournament- and player-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of the tournament and its players. Let's keep the momentum going.

WOMEN IN SPORTS EDIT-A-THON FOR JULY + AUGUST!

WikiProject Women in Red is focusing on Women in Sports during their edit-a-thon for July & August 2019.

Get all the info here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/126

Sign up and help fill in the gaps within various articles related to women's football / soccer - whether they be players, teams, leagues, historical, administrators, referees, etc. Every little bit helps. Be sure to tag your article talk pages with {{WIR-126}}.

These edit-a-thons are a great way to work with others to help bridge the gender gaps on Wikipedia. Thanks for your contributions!

Hello WOSO editors!

What a year to be alive. As usual (but perhaps even moreso since there have been unexpected quarantines), there has been a lot of activity on player, team, league and tournament-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of women's football / soccer. Great work!

Fall Focus: FA WSL articles

You may have noticed lots of great things going on for the top English league this year: the FA WSL. More (international!) broadcasts, top international player signings, improved media coverage, and increased viewership. Let's keep the momentum brewing, shall we?

Here's a sampling of articles that could use creation, expansion or updating. What will you commit to working on?

Historical Topics
Managers
Teams
Players
Other

Every little bit helps! Thanks for your contributions!

Yazmeen Ryan feedback?

[edit]

Hi, Mojackjutaily... I picked your name at sorta random from the WOSO project page, 'cause you indicated a specific interest in NWSL. I'm wondering if you'd be willing to give me some feedback at Yazmeen Ryan. Seany91 has moved the article back to draft space, indicating (correctly, now that I've re-read the guideline) that Ryan doesn't meet NFOOTY. I think she meets GNG, though.

If you have a moment, I'd love another opinion from an experienced NWSL editor. I've outlined what I think on the talk page. I'm well experienced at looking at sports biographies, but I only a couple days ago got involved in NWSL articles. What I wrote and what I'm advocating for is consistent with my experience on NFL, MLB, etc. articles, but I might be off base with NWSL. Thanks! Much appreciated...
