Use of the image is fully compliant with Wikipedia:Logos and is also properly used per WP:NFCC#8. Logos are typically protected by copyright and trademark law and so cannot be replaced by a completely free alternative. The image includes the logo of the company, which will always be copyrighted. As such an image, the image is properly attributed as a non-free image and a non-free logo. Per WP:NFCC#8, this non-free content is used because its presence significantly increases readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding.
- Files like this have two copyrights - that of the photograph and that of the product shown. Per WP:FREER, the photographer always needs to add a free licence for his part of the picture, and then there might also need to be a non-free copyright tag for the product shown. In this case, the capsules seem to be below the threshold of originality, and it is questionable if the packaging needs to be shown at all, so it should be possible to replace this by a completely free picture. --Stefan2 (talk) 17:03, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- The reason this photo doesn't work is because both the photo and the labelling are non-free. What we need here is a user-taken photo of the non-free label. The image would require two license templates: one for the photo and one for the label. Please see File:Canadian Club.jpg for an example of how this is done. --Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:40, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
