List of doo-wop songs[edit]
AfDs for this article:
- List of doo-wop songs (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Unsourced, blatant OR, full of redlinks. In fact, nearly half the list is redlinks. Completely untouched since last afd. There is no precedent for having a "list of [genre] songs" article because such a list would be a million miles long if even half complete. - Delete, delete, sh-boom, sh-boom. Way too broad for a manageable list. The Vito & the Salutations version of "Unchained Melody" is hilariously doo-wop, but Al Hibler's? Clarityfiend (talk) 22:03, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete: Eek. Quite aside from likely recurring content problems such as the same song being listed multiple times if it's covered by different artists, sourcing is all but impossible. Even the Doo-wop article itself admits "There is no consensus as to what constitutes a doo-wop song," and the same problem would apply to just about any other genre as well. (My heart falters at the thought of List of death metal songs, List of doom metal songs, List of thrash metal songs, List of black metal songs, List of charcoal grey metal songs ...) - Delete- per nom, Clarityfiend and Ravenswing. If a definition could be agreed on, this may be an appropriate category, but not a list. In addition to the above arguments, most doo-wop songs (however defined) would be non-notable and there are too many to produce a comprehensive list even if non-notable songs were included.
