AfDs for this article:
- Waimarino Adventure Park (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log · Stats)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
the adventure park is does not meet WP:GNG and is purely self promotional. The articles author was banned from Wiki, although I note that they seem to be now using a sock puppet NealeFamily (talk) 00:27, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: I'm finding some sources such as this one about the kayaking and then there's this one that was already on the article. Other than that I'm finding stuff like this article about a ride malfunctioning. There are a few mentions in some travel books, but not really enough to where I'd say this really merits an article. As it is now, this could probably be speedied as pretty blatant promotion. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:25, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I thought I'd give the article a chance in case there was something that I had missed that meant it deserved to stay. As you say it is blatant promo. NealeFamily (talk) 08:22, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete Clearly an ad. Could possibly be retained if the advertorial content were removed, but only if sufficient independent sources were found. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 21:34, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Incubate or delete Phrases like "just 10 minutes from" and "ethos of excellence" in Wikipedia's voice grate like chalk on a chalkboard...this is not material we want in mainspace as per WP:NOT. As for notability, references in the article are insufficient. There are hits on the web, Gbooks, and Gnews, but more research is needed. There is evidence that the business has attracted attention from Australia, and the site seems to be associated with preparation for the kayak event in the Olympics. Public attractions, well, they "attract attention" from the "world at large" as per the nutshell of WP:N. The company has been around since 1975, so likely more sources exist locally. A concern here is that I haven't found sources taking a look at this organization from the business viewpoint, such as investing.businessweek.com. The company legal name only has five hits on a Google search. What is annual income? What is peak attendance? On the other hand, I really like the pictures in this article. Businesses like this could help Wikipedia editors by including a "Media" tab on their website that lists sources that have given their organization a write-up. Is there a List of tourist attractions in Tauranga? Unscintillating (talk) 20:27, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- There are plenty of these types of activities around the country and this is no more or less notable than any of them - it's just another business as far as I can tell.NealeFamily (talk) 04:05, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
