Adriano Alves (Template:PerB, born January 5, 1977 in Brazil) is a Brazilian-Iranian footballer currentley playing for Mes Kerman in Iran's Premier Football League. He acquired Iranian citizenship in October 2004.

Club career

Alves played for Esteghlal Ahvaz for four years until he was purchased by newly promoted Iranian Premier League. It was said at one point he was being paid a $1,000,000 salary from the rich Esteghlal Ahvaz. He then in 2006 transferred to newly promoted Iranian Premier League side Mes Kerman in which he has played a crucial role in the Persian Gulf Cup (2006-2007) season.

International career

It is unlikely that Alves will be called up to the Brazil national footbal team but since he is eligable to play for Iran, Brazil and Lebanon, Mes fans think it would be a wise move for Alves to be called up for Iran.

Early life

Alves was born to a Brazilian father and a Brazilian mother of Lebanese origin.
