Woh Toh Hai Albelaa (transl. He Is Very Unique) is an Indian sitcom television series that aired from 14 March 2022 on Star Bharat and digitally streams on Disney+ Hotstar.[1] Produced by Director's Kut Productions, it stars Hiba Nawab, Shaheer Sheikh, Anuj Sachdeva, and Kinshuk Vaidya in lead roles.[2][3][4] The show revolves around Choudhary and Sharma families, who have enmity due to an incident that took place 18 years ago.

Plot

Saroj has three sons, Chiranjeev (Chiru), Krishna (Kanha), and Nakul, and a step-daughter Kusum. Her family involves her husband and father-in-law too. Saroj hates Indrani's family due to an incident that took place 18 years when Indrani slapped Saroj. Indrani lives with her three daughters Sayuri (Sayu), Rashmi (Rashu), Priya (Piu), and her mother-in-law in a small house in front of Saroj's bungalow. Sayuri is a professor in Nakul and Rashmi's college and also runs her business Sayuri Masala. Choudharys have a marble business managed by Chiru and his father. Later in the episodes, it is shown that Chiru and Sayuri are in love with each other since childhood. Rashmi is also in love with Nakul, while Kanha and Sayuri hate each other. Kanha soon finds out about Sayuri and Chiru and gets very angry with Sayuri. He tries to annoy and disturb her even in the college, finally locking her in Yamunateer temple with Chiru, whose presence was unknown in the temple to him. Later when Saroj found out about the affair between Sayuri and Chiru, she locked herself in a room and started torturing herself. Chiru tries to make her understand how much they both love each other, but she's not ready to hear anything. She remains silent and ignores Chiru's presence around her. Later the next day, she organises a puja in their mandir whose sounds make Indrani and Sayuri's dadi feel afraid that something wrong is going to happen. Saroj invites the Sharma family to their house and hands over an empty cheque and gold coins to Sayuri in order to insult her and asks her to leave her son, Chiru. After Sayuri denies that she is not going to sell her love with money and other things which Saroj has offered. Saroj and the Sharma family get into an argument again and eventually starts remembering the days 18 years ago, where there were no rivalry between the families.

Balwant Sharma (Sayuri's father) and Dhanraj Choudhary were very good friends and used to work together in Balwant's buisness. Balwant used to consider Dhanraj as his brother and both Saroj and Indrani alone with their used keep a very good relationship with each other. One day, Kanha and Sayuri were fighting over a doll which Kanha had snatched from her and were chasing each other. This resulted in the fall of two kids hurting each other badly especially Kanha, who had got a cut in his forehead. Seeing this, Saroj fumed into anger and started scolding Sayuri who said that she will complain about Kanha to her father and he will punish him badly as her father is the boss of Kanha's father. Hearing this, Saroj's mind turned and started complaining to Balwant and Indrani about their miseries and how they have used Dhanraj for the goodness of their buisness. Balwant and Indrani along with their and Saroj's family members were shocked. He denied all this sayings but still apologized to her and asked her if she needed something. Saroj got this opportunity and asked for the half of their business and respect for her husband just as Balwant gets. Indrani was shocked and started making her understand that this was not possible, and this resulted Saroj's taunting about her family and insulted her husband and his deeds. Indrani couldn't tolerate all this and out of her anger, she slapped Saroj across her face, asked to stay in her limits and told her to get out of their house.

Present Day

Indrani makes Saroj remember all those days, apologizes to her many times and requests Chiru and Sayuri to be together just for the sake of his son. Saroj denies it angrily and says that then she had fought for the respect of her husband and now she is fighting for the future of her son. She asks her to leave their house immediately and also to leave the locality. As she turned back, Chiru raised his voice and said that how much she loves Sayuri and says her that he will not betray her in love and go to marry another girl. Shocked Saroj, brings a pot of water and puts it on Chiru and says that all the ties between her and Chiru are broken and his last rituals had done, now he's free to marry her. Hearing this, Chiru breaks down and Sayuri denies to marry him without Saroj's blessings and holds herself responsible for the broken ties. She says Chiru that she will leave him and asks Kanha to promise her that he will try to pacify him. Kanha accepts it and takes up the responsibility of making the things right.
