StewieGriffin! (talk · contribs) - I understand my past, but if you ask around, other users will agree that I am totally reformed. I have a strong knowledge of the MediaWiki interface and of Wikipedia's policies. The only reason for my sockpuppetry was to benifit the encyclopedia. I would like to work on deletion and vandalism (blocks etc.) In the time I have been here, I have made around 1,600 (my prefs). This may not be very many, but it is in a short time. If you want to know more about me, I also ran Radio Wikipedia. Before automatically closing or opposing, please ask me questions. As much as my past is bad, it shouldn't stop me trying and having a clean start. Oh, and I am online every day, so users will easily be able to contact me. Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Like I said above, deletion and anti-vandalism work. Sockpuppetry really opened my eyes, so I would work in trying to stop this. I already try my hardest to help users at the help desk, so I will also work on the admin's noticeboard. However, I will aim to help users and will work in all areas of administration. If a user requests admin attention, as long as I cannot see a problem, I will try to help the user ASAP.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I am the creator and anchor of Radio Wikipedia and I am very proud of this. In just a week or so, it has got the attention of quite a few users. I also consider my anti-vandalism reverts good contributions (with Twinkle and Lupin's tool). Of course, I try to avoid any bad contributions, so all my contributions are worthy for the encyclopedia.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have been in an edit war at Template:Doctor Who (series 4). I think this is resolved now, and found my error, so stopped. It caused me no stress, however. It definately is over as this was long before my block.
- Optional Questions from BG7even
- 4. Which of the tools will you find most useful, and why?
- I think deletion is an important part of anti-vandalism. Therefore, deletion tools. I also would like to continue with blocking users, to help the encyclopedia of course. I would try to use a lot of the tools, to have experience (and give help to) for other users. Of course, with these many tools, I cannot decide completly, as I haven't used them.
- 5. If there was an incident with an article that you were involved in, for example an Edit War, what would be the best solution?
- I would probably ask other users for a choice. I may also request another admins input, hopefully not getting them concerned too much. I would also use RFC.

- Sorry, too soon after your block - come back in a few months! Also, your answers to your questions seem a bit short - while they are optional, i'd like some more info, especially on the one about your Edit War, and if it is definitely over. BG7even 17:04, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok. I just felt a hint that you weren't sure. But I still think it's to early, and i'm still not convinced by the answers to the questions - much of what you say can be done by non-admins. Sorry. BG7even 17:08, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- You're not giving him much motivation to answer your two questions above... Tan | 39 17:10, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- e/c:::Also, mainspace edits are rather low - 303, of which you've only made a max of 12. Also, you have over half your mainspace edit made on your userpage. Sorry, again, but it's just too early. BG7even 17:14, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- (ec). [1], [2], [3], [4], User:StewieGriffin!/Guestbook. The third and fourth link are of particular interest of your clear mis-understanding that admins have authority. Its not the right time now. Qst (talk) 17:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- What has my guestbook got to do with this. And for the RyRy5 thing, obviously admins have a higher power. They have extra abilities! Please give me a chance. StewieGriffin! • Talk 17:17, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- That comment says to me straight away that you're not ready - admins have no higher powers, they can just be trusted more. Every user, even admins, crats, chkusers etc are of equal level. I think the guestbook relates to both Simpsons, Sims and Stewie sigining it - very bad taste. But i don't know. BG7even 17:29, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose That you have created another RFA so soon after your previous one which was snow closed after your block for sockpuppetry, shows to me that you lack the judgement needed to be an administrator. Get at least 6 months of good, clean editing under your belt. Show your maturity, show you have changed and show that you understand all aspects of policy before I would even consider an RFA. Woody (talk) 17:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Just not ready. Needs a stronger concept of what an admin does. Also per Woody, needs to show that he/she can be trusted Adam McCormick (talk) 17:14, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Those links I provided, on the contrary. Qst (talk) 17:17, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- e/cMy suggestion is that you head over to a test wiki, and try the tools out. Your answer to question 5 worries me as well - if you are involved you should never make judgement - always ask another admin. I suggest the Wikipedia:Administrators' reading list as a place to start, and the other related pages. Thanks, BG7even 17:21, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Obvious oppose. It's less than a week since your last RFA. What do you think has changed in that time? Please stop doing this as all you're doing is damaging the chance of passing in future. — iridescent 17:17, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Strongest possible oppose - I blocked a fair few of your socks. There is no way that I'd ever give you the mop. ScarianCall me Pat! 17:30, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
