Hostel: Part II is the upcoming thriller sequel to Eli Roth's 2006 film Hostel. The film's release date has been set for June 8 2007.

Plot

Roth has indicated that the movie will begin right where the original ended. According to Production Weekly, the focus of the sequel will be on three American girls studying abroad who encounter the Elite Hunting organization. In addition, one of the planned revelations will be that the Slovak location is part of a chain. Finally, the magazine also reported that viewers will learn the operating procedures of the chain.[1]

In October 2006, Lionsgate issued a press release with further details about the plot, specifically that the movie will focus on the three American students being lured to an unknown destination by a European classmate.[2]

The film is now in post-production.

Cast

Locations

In October 2006, Eli Roth shot scenes for the movie in the Prague online brothel Big Sister.[4]

Trivia

The teaser trailer was shown before showings of Saw III and is available for viewing at Yahoo Movies!. It is now available on the DVD for Saw III.

Although the main leads in this film are Heather Matarazzo, Jordan Ladd, and Bijou Phillips, the main lead character in this movie this time around is the character of Beth played by Lauren German. The character of Paxton, played by Jay Hernandez will be a supporting role in the film this time around.

This film will start after where the first film left off.

Director Eli Roth initially intended that actress Jordan Ladd, who he had previously worked with in the 2003 surprise hit Cabin Fever, to be in the first film, but initially decided to wait until the next film.

Expect a third film in the next year. It will supposedly start filming in November of this year, with a fall 2008 release worldwide. Although director Eli Roth hasn't confirmed anything, he has let it slip that he may cast actors Jayden Rollins and Olivia Wilde in Hostel: Part III.

Although director Eli Roth isn't done editing this film, the expected running time runs between the 90-110 minute mark, but if scenes are added or cut, expect an 80-125 minute running time.

Eli Roth has revealed that the final film of the Hostel series will be his "epic" movie. He wants to the make the third and final film at least two and a half hours long and wants to end it with greatness, so that the final film will be the most memorable of the series.

A supposed rating of R for strong, graphic, brutal scenes of violence and torture, terror, language, sexuality, nudity, drug content, and mature thematic material is highly likely, as the MPAA has given this rating to the film. But, as many films have done, the rating could change.
