Alan Reid (mathematician) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Alan Reid (mathematician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 19:09, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Could you give me a sense for if you feel what is unreliable or not independent in the draft? I've given links to his Whittaker Prize and ICM address, as well as his current position at U.Rice. I can certainly put in more information, but it's unclear if you feel there is a lack of quantity or if it's more of a quality of the existing information issue. AfC notification: Draft:Alan Reid (mathematician) has a new comment

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Alan Reid (mathematician). Thanks! Felix QW (talk) 09:22, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Allen Hatcher, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Andrew Marshall. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi there. I'm a little confused why the article was moved to speedy deletion. It was suggested I edit to address the WP:PROF issues, and I did. Reid held two endowed chair positions (currently holds one of them) and presented at the ICM, one of the highest honours in mathematics. This kind of recognition is enough for other mathematicans, why is it not enough for Reid? Rybu (talk) 06:04, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
