Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Goldabrun. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Nicholas J. Ayala, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You don't need to be paid by them to have a potential conflict of interest. Kj cheetham (talk) 18:45, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Thank you so much for the guide. I know Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or promoting anyone. To be honestly, I'm working with this person right now. But he didn't paid me anything. In that case what should I need to do? Do I need to disclosed the paid contribution(on my userpage) or I need to put while editing the article {{request edit}} on talk page ? I didn't create this article as you can see. Even, I don't want to be a paid contributor on Wikipedia. I'm just adding references, Sources, wikilink etc. Please suggest me. I don't want to violate any rules of Wimedia Policies. Thank you.
