Bodo people

You deleted some words from Bodo people page. In general Boros used called themselves as Bara-Fisa and Dimasa used to call themselves as Dwima-Fisa. Entire book used the word Bara instead of BARA-FISA. To find out that word, You can go to last appendix where you will find THE FINAL SEPARATION BETWEEN BARA-FISA and Dimasa line. https://archive.org/details/kacharis009491mbp/page/n181 PerfectingNEI (talk) 17:54, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

@PerfectingNEI: What you are suggesting is original research. Source doesn't say that Baras call themselves Bara-fisa. Secondly, source only mentions Bara-fisa once in the appendix which make vague. Find other sources. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:41, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

West Bengal Article

Hi @Fylindfotberserk:, In the West Bengal article infobox section there are too many languages mentioned but as far as "Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India" is concern Bengal has Bengali as official and additional official has been Nepali for two subdivisions of Darjeeling. Should I go ahead and remove remaining languages. Secondly could please help nominate West Bengal into a Good or FA article status again, it lost FA status in 2018. Thanks--Priyansh90 (talk) 04:53, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

@Priyansh90: Your concern is legitimate especially when NCLM's 52nd report lists Bengali (with Nepali as additional in Darjeeling's 2 subdivisions) and the West Bengal Govt's official website lists only Bengali and English here. The other languages are additional official but there seems to be original research regarding how it is presented in the article. The sources for other languages clearly mention that they can only be used as official if the number of speakers exceed 10% percent in a block/division/district. See herehere. That needs to be highlighted in the sections and the Infobox. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:12, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk:, it would make it more complicated and clutter the infobox, moreover we don't have any official source from Govt website either state govt or central govt stating those languages as additional official. I would rather remove them and make Bengali & English as official while stating Nepali as "additional official". What do you think ?--Priyansh90 (talk) 15:11, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
@Priyansh90: What can we do if the current WB govt. is in a spree to make every language official. Not only the given sources, a lot of other reliable news sources mention that bills have been passed in 2012 and 2018 to make all these languages official wherever the population is over 10%. While these are reliable sources and we cannot negate them, but the fact that these languages do not show up in wp.gov.in site is confusing. I added this:- "in blocks, subdivisions or districts exceeding 10% of the population" sentence to make it clear what the sources say. Since these languages are in the Infobox for some time, I believe you should open up a discussion in the article talkpage about this. If no one responds, then we can remove these languages from the infobox. However, there's no need to remove them from the sub-sections - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:35, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

@Fylindfotberserk: alright I will start a discussion on the talk page and see who responds if no body responds then we will scrap it. Another question is there any chance to renominate West Bengal into FA or Good article status. Thanks--Priyansh90 (talk) 03:28, 4 June 2019 (UTC)

@Priyansh90: Nice. give it a few days, atleast 10 days I believe. Although RfCs go for 30 days. In the meantime, it would be great if you search for the other languages in the WB govt. articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:16, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: I had put information regarding West Bengal languages in the Talk:West Bengal page. But unfortunately nobody is responding I even pinned one user but he too seems to be aloof. Should I go ahead and remove Additional languages from the infobox area while keeping Bengali and English as well Nepali as official since they are Govt provided source. After that I will nominate it into FA status article.--Priyansh90 (talk) 04:55, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@Priyansh90: I've seen that. Give it some time, atleast 10-15 days since not everybody visits Wikipedia everyday. Also I'm gonna copy paste this into that section. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:56, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: Alright I'll wait for 10-15 days after that I'll apply for FA or GA nomination. One update I would like to give you, I have applied Talk:Bengali language and Talk:Bengal article for Good article nomination.--Priyansh90 (talk) 15:40, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@Priyansh90: I've seen Talk:Bengali language but not the Bengal one. I think the Bengali language article would get GA. Nice work bud. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:44, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Regarding reverting Bharat's Cast

Can you please clarify, why did you revert that change? Radhamadhab Sarangi (Talk2Me|Contribs) 16:13, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

@123sarangi: I've corrected it to your version. My bad, didn't see there was a 'Mehek' too apart from 'Meher' - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:24, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: Thanks for that. Today I watched the movie. The songs were so bad that I checked wiki to check the Music Composer. I found this wrong mentions of husbands of Meher and Mehek, so I corrected it. 👍👍 Radhamadhab Sarangi (Talk2Me|Contribs) 11:20, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@123sarangi: Is it that bad lol? I don't intend to see it in near future though. It's in my pending list now . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:50, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
@Fylindfotberserk: I liked only one song - Chashni. Never expected such a bad album from Vishal-Shekhar. The movie is ok ok. Anyway you can watch it on Prime Video in a month or so. Don't waste your time and money going to a theatre near or far from you. 😂😂😂 Radhamadhab Sarangi (Talk2Me|Contribs) 11:20, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
@123sarangi: I'll probably watch this on Prime. I'm not going to a theatre lol. Thanks again - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:37, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Dear Fylindfotberserk! Can you check an article Puneeth Rajkumar? Thank you! --178.71.214.16 (talk) 16:33, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

About Lead West Bengal

Hi @Fylindfotberserk:, Could please added information about economy of pre-independence Bengal in the lead section of West Bengal article, like it has been mentioned clearly in the lead section of both Bangladesh and Bengal articles with sources. Shaw (talk) 20:17, 18 June 2019 (UTC)

Aniket kr. Shaw, Hi,for images, go through guidelines at WP:IUP. If you took a photograph of Mr. Arjun Singh, that can very well be used and would not cause any copyright issues, but if you have copied it from another source or video, then it is liable to get a copyright strike. You can also use Public Domain images like Flickr images. See the list of Public Domain websites here, Regards. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:35, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Yashpal Sharma (actor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hisar (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Rae Bareli Lok Sabha

The webpage for Rae Bareli Lok Sabha has an error. It shows that Satish Sharma won a by-poll there in 1991. That is just wrong. Satish Sharma won the by-poll from Amethi, caused due to Rajeev Gandhi's death. But how to remove the wrong line from Rae Bareli page? I removed it, but zealous (and clueless) wiki editors keep restoring the wrong line. One can add reference for new info being added, but how to ADD reference for info which is being deleted? I do not know. Please edit that page, if you will. Contact me at walks.nani AT gmail.com if you have questions. I do not have wiki account. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.92.160.115 (talk) 16:46, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

Trying to understand???

So I am trying to understand your edit here? The source provided is from an official site and literally has the promotional material for the final match he is doing which states its his retirement match. Just trying to understand your "Need independent reliable source", it doesn't get anymore reliable than someones official site. 2601:805:8205:7E0A:598C:578F:FB31:21FA (talk) 17:25, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

Official sites are not considered much reliable and is also a primary source. Go through WP:Independent. You can remove the tag after you add an independent reliable source. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:31, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Gotcha, right now the only other sources are the posts that have been made on social media from the company putting on the show and last I heard those weren't considered reliable sources. So there is only a primary to reference right now. But ill keep an eye out for others, Thanks! 2601:805:8205:7E0A:598C:578F:FB31:21FA (talk) 21:19, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

@Abecedare: You pinged me there that's why. I was already typing and didn't see that you posted here. Sir, I've also moved the other race and genetic related comments to the "collapsed" section since not relevant. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:49, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

@Abecedare: Somebody should tell PerfetingNEI that the code, {{u|Fylindfotberserk}} also pings the user.
I didn't have the slightest idea that a mere mention of something so mainstream would offend him. Obviously, I forgot that the person has a hatred against all things "Aryan", "Brahmin", ""Austro-Asiatic" and "Ahom"; has a serious POV issue; gives a vibe of Article Ownerhip and likes to incorporate 19th century racialism.
  • Baits users with anti-Aryan and racist rhetoric in article talks as can be seen here. Then makes uncivil comments towards users, linguistic groups like Aryan and Dravidian and brings 19th century obsolete racial classifications. here, here
  • He has no qualms coming to other user's talkpages provoking them, calling them names and being generally uncivil and to display tendencies of Article Ownership
  • He also spams other user's articles here and here, but gets overtly defensive on his own talkpage displaying WP:UP#OWN and insults other calling them dogs, Asurs, etc,
  • He also comes to the same users asking for help See.
I'm unable to understand this person, but I believe if a single user is having problems with everybody, then obviously he should learn to work as a team and respect others. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:21, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Fylindfotberserk, I haven't gone through all the links you listed above but even a briefer look that I've had over the past 7-10 days makes the POV and conduct issues apparent. What remains to be seen is whether the editors conduct, mode of communication, and citing of sources can be reformed enough so that the point-of-view they bring contributes to improving the coverage in the articles rather than just wasting other volunteers' time. You can see my effort in that direction in my messages on their talkpage over the past week. If that effort fails, blocks or topic bans may be required but worth giving it a chance IMO.
A couple of requests for you: don't engage in a rapid and lengthy back and forth with them, as happened earlier today on Talk:Varman dynasty, and just let the other editors weigh in. And, while unwanted pings, and templated warnings and comments on your talkpage, are genuine annoyances I'd ask you to overlook/ignore them for the moment so that we can first see whether the more central issues are resolvable. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 19:02, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
@Abecedare: Thanks for the advice sir. Probably I should concentrate more on blatant errors in the page and ignore controversial things, but that argument on modern/recent was rather trivial and actually he didn't get what I was trying to convey but I ignored his last edit. I've to admit that I've this thing, OCD, and this kind of arguments and multiple notifications aggravate things. Once I got 10+ notifications from this person, in my talk, in his talk and 2 or 3 of the article talk pages. Anyway, thanks again sir. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:22, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

@KPSportz: Thanks. Do not write essays, fan POV or make WP:OR ie do not write anything that's not in the source. And as for source, Kreedon, KabaddiAdda doesn't seem reliable. Use info from News Agencies like Firstpost, Times of India, The Hindu as well as ProKabaddi. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:06, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
