Patently absurd

This proposed "policy" is patently absurd and I think it warrants speedy deletion. --Cyde Weys votetalk 23:18, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. Maybe its a joke? KillerChihuahua?!? 23:35, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It is. Scroll down to the categories. It's listed under "Wikipedia humor." -Kyd 23:41, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Right. I edited the top box slightly to make this more apparent. Herostratus 02:26, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I love you all. --DavidConrad 02:05, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tut. Tut. A term of endearment. I'll have to block you for that.

I think you're rather cute! I love you! I love you all! I really love you! MWAAAAAAAAAAAH! Attinio (talk) 11:24, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not completely absurd

Some of the examples of expressing affection in this ?essay? do seem to border on verbal sexual harrassment. However, I'm not sure if verbal sexual harrassment is actually a problem on Wikipedia. Armedblowfish (talk|mail|contribs) 23:38, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure it probably is, but if it occurred we'd hardly use this "policy" to deal with it now would we?
If I say I love your username does that count? Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 14:07, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Admin! That mean Theresa lady just tried to hit on me! --D-Day I'm all ears 14:39, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You are fooling no one with your "I didn't do nothing miss". You want me to hit on you don't you!? You're gonna get us both blocked if you keep it up. (Ooohh missez she said "keep it up") Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 16:15, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Love on Wikipedia. ;) -- œ 00:24, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Go One Further

I think this policy should be taken one step further. No terms of endearment period. We should hereby ban all words such as love, like & hate (Hey, it could be a ToE). We should also edit all articles and remove such words to be more in line with the teachings of the HRM George Orwell I. --Tedd-the-Tiger (talk) 06:14, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, I'm sure
