Development

In December 2021, Lord and Miller revealed that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was being split into two parts, because they had written down the story they wanted to tell for the sequel and realized that it was too much for a single film. Work on both parts was taking place simultaneously.

In June 2023, Lord and Miller confirmed in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that "Beyond the Spider-Verse" will be the final chapter of Miles Morales' story, and it is also the last "Spider Universe Series" movie they participated in. They also added that Beyond the Spider-Verse will further explore the punk Spider-Man universe, as well as other versions of Gwen Stacy.

Release

The film is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024.[1]
