"Greenacre" in rhyming slang (incorporate?)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjNiTIVNyoM

Looks like 'Greenacre' became cockney rhyming slang at least at some point. Check from 6:08 in this youtube clip. I'm not a wikepedian so I wont edit anything directly, but looks like a connection in history between this crime and jargon in use 200 years later.. 143.159.105.176 (talk) 09:45, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Last man hung in London?

Having the same surname, it's been a family rumor to have been related to him. But our version of the story has him being the last man publicly hung in London. Any way to find out? Egreena42 (talk) 13:35, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greenacre was definitely not the last man to be hanged in public in London. the last public execution in Britain took place at Newgate Prison in London, on 26 May 1868. Cottonshirtτ 08:04, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
