Mad
"Stern was featured breaking the fourth wall in an issue of MAD Magazine which spoofed Home Alone. In this lampoon, as he is breaking into the house, he tells Joe Pesci he is humiliated. Stern: "We ought to be ashamed of ourselves!" Pesci: "Why, because we are criminals stealing from somebody's house?" Stern: "No, because we are fine actors taking such embarrassing roles!" Pesci: "I see your point of view! People expected we knew better after seeing my performance in Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino, and yours in Diner, Breaking Away, and the voice of the adult Kevin on The Wonder Years!"
does this honestly have any relevance at all?
Name
Daniel Stern must have german relatives because his name sounds totally german. He also looks like a German. Volkov talk 18:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

- As a matter of fact about 10 percent of the so-called "Germans" are - at least partially - of Jewish descent (including myself). It's pretty ridiculous to still cherish the illusion of a non-existing homogenous ethnicity, which one can name "American" (the most obvious example), "French", "German" or "Italian". Frankly, I think that most folks were not able to distinguish between a stereotype looking "German" and an average Joe (white) "Englishman". Just take a look at the biography of the Wittgenstein family. They were considered "Germanic" (whatever that mythical crap was supposed to mean) by the effin' Nazis, and it's not that unrealistic to assume that some families shared the same fate (especially those, who were not religious or had converted to Catholicism/Protestantism). It's way too complex to just oversimplify! 79.193.167.52 (talk) 07:05, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Under the chapter "career" it says this:
"....and Marv the burglar in the first two Home Alone films, Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, with Joe Pesci. However, he declined to play the character once again in the fourth installment of the franchise, believing the script to be an insult to the original motion picture....."
So he did play it in the third one? I anyhow could not find the man among the cast on the i.m.d.b..
