Paul Buchner (1886-1978) was a researcher who studied insects and bacteriology including heresitary symbiosis (Symbiogenesis).^[1]

He studied Hemiptera and their symbionts.^[2]

The bacteria Buchnera, an aphid endosymbiont, is named for him.^[3]
