Khanpasha Nuradilovich Nuradilov (Russian: Ханпаша Нурадилович Нурадилов, Template:Lang-ce; 6 July 1924 – 12 September 1942) was a Soviet machine gunner in the Red Army between 1940 and 1942. He is credited with killing an estimated 920 enemy soldiers with his PM M1910 machine gun, making him the highest-scoring machine gunner of all time. He also captured 18 Nazi German soldiers alive and 7 German machine guns. He was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union[1] for his valiant last stand in the Battle of Stalingrad.[2]
During the Battle of Stalingrad in September 1942, during the fighting in the area of the city of Serafimovich, Stalingrad Region, Nuradilov commanded a machine-gun platoon. Seriously wounded, he did not leave the battlefield, destroying 250 Germans and 2 machine guns. He died in this battle on September 12, 1942.
Khanpasha took his last battle at the famous height 220 on the left bank of the Don River, on the outskirts of Stalingrad. On September 12, 1942, a terrible battle broke out at the height. The Germans threw a large number of tanks at the positions of Soviet soldiers. Khanpasha Nuradilov's machine gun fired non-stop, cutting off the German infantry from the tanks. Suddenly there was a strong explosion, the explosion from a tank shell overturned both the machine gun and Sergeant Khanpasha [11].Buried in the Volgograd region, Kumylzhensky district, the village of Bukаnоvskaya.
